Our Story

“Passing on the artform of beekeeping to our children.”

My Dad’s Honey is a small family beekeeping business in Echuca, Victoria, started in 2017 by Bradley and Lee-Anne Jackson.

It was created to have a more personable relationship with our clients and wholesalers. But more importantly, it is our way of passing on the artform of beekeeping to our children.

Bradley Jackson

The DAD behind our delicious honey. Third Generation Beekeeper with over 30 years experience.

Fun Facts:

  1. Bradley’s hometown is Ivanhoe, NSW town;

  2. He used to work as a Shearer;

  3. He is a great storyteller and loves telling hilarious stories at social gatherings;

  4. Suffers from profound hearing loss in both ears.

  5. Bradley can always be seen with a Blue healer by his side. Bradley has owned 4 healers in his lifetime.

 

Lee-Anne Jackson

The Queen Bee of our hive.

Fun Facts:

  1. Lee-Anne’s hometown is Broken Hill;

  2. She has a Bachelor of Social Work and studied CSU in Wagga Wagga;

  3. She loves cooking and hearing Christmas carols;

  4. She got her motorbike license after turning 16 yrs and 9 months and rode a Red Scooter to high school;

  5. She got a speeding ticket riding her red scooter to her high school final exams;

  6. Lee-Anne volunteers as a Cub Scout Leader at 1st Echuca Scouts.

 

Oscar & Jaynee

The young entrepreneurs.

They help serve our customers at the Echuca Farmer’s Market, and also help with honey package and deliveries - to local shops and cafes nearby.

Fun Facts:

  1. Oscar loves to dress up as Buzzy the Bee. He loves Minecraft, Scout, Art class, and playing cricket.

  2. Jaynee loves ice cream and eats ice cream nearly everyday. She loves dancing, acting, singing, and joining scouts. She also loves Horse Riding on the weekends.
